Top: George Mary's | Bottoms: Gap (cut & frayed myself)
Shoes: Target | Earrings: Kendra Scott
I have decided to use my blog to support the businesses in my area. Every now and then, I will have posts with products from local businesses to show my love and appreciation.
Other posts will include a food prop; I just want to share my love for food!
Today, you get both!
My top is from the cutest little pop-up shop called George Mary's. It was started in Starkville, MS by a sweet woman named Alesia! She has some really unique pieces to check out!
I was doing a little modeling for her when I fell in love with this off-the-shoulder top (I am wearing a small)! In case you haven't noticed, off-the-shoulder is a trend that isn't going away any time soon.
Another popular trend is the lace-up heel. These, from Target, are affordable and incredibly comfortable! They run true to size.
An upcoming trend is frayed denim - it'll soon be everywhere, I promise! I was struggling to find the perfect pair to purchase with my college girl budget; I need three more jobs to support my shopping habits. I was going through my closet when I came across a pair of jeans that are now too short for me, so I decided to cut them up. I created this mess of a frayed jean and called it quits... It's not too bad for my first DIY denim experiment.
Now for the fattening stuff. Oh yeah. I'm talking about that strange looking popsicle.
A gourmet popsicle place called frios just opened up in downtown Starkville.
I know, "gourmet popsicle" sounds pretty dumb, but they can call it whatever they want because it's delicious!
By now, I've tried 4 different flavors and haven't been disappointed. I tried:
- Spicy Pineapple
- Fruity Pebbles (pictured)
- Vanilla Chai Latte
- Cookies & Cream
If you haven't tried them yet, get in your car & head there. Now. You won't regret it (this was my second one of the day & still no regrets).
What's your favorite flavor? Let me know in the comments!
